It’s seed gathering season so why not take advantage of the autumn harvest by going on a Seed Hunt (Sunday 3rd October at Hartsholme) around the park to see what you can find. Then spend some time planting your very own piece of Hartsholme to take home with you!
Our ever popular event for the under 5’s Toddler Time is taking place on several dates (Friday 24th September, 15th October and 19th November at Hartsholme) where a fun and exciting range of themed events for children, centred around popular childrens books
October half term kicks off with Pumpkin Carving workshops (Wednesday 27th October AM at The Arboretum, 27th October PM at Hartsholme and Thursday 28th October AM at Boultham) where the children can create their very own Jack o Lantern to ward off evil spirits that linger at this time of year.
Stake out the fun and venture in to make a scary mask (Thursday 28th October PM at Hartsholme) in time for the spookiest day of the year.
Let’s Celebrate Bat week! If you think there are bats in your area then why not “do your bit for conservation” and invite them to stay in your garden by making a Bat Box on Friday 29th October at Hartsholme.
Take a chance and, be prepared to be scared out of your skin on our creepy Halloween Trail (Wednesday 27th to Sunday 31st October at Hartsholme), which will lead you if you make it to a delicious and ghoulish treat!
