Founded in 1968 by Mr Peter Hunt, Bransby Horses is one of the UK’s largest equine welfare charities. The charity is dedicated to improving the lives of horses, ponies, donkeys and mules.
The charity is based in the village of Bransby just outside of Lincoln, and offers free entry, free parking and is dog friendly. The charity has a Visitor Centre and café which was awarded Trip Advisor’s Traveller’s Choice Award in 2020.
Escape the day to day and discover miles of picturesque walkways in the heart of hte Lincolnshire countryside. Meet new friends with our rescue residents of all shapes and sizes, from Shetland ponies and donkeys to Shire horses and ex-racing horses. Perfect for kids (and big kids, we’re looking at you mum and dad) with lots of room for puddle jumping and running around.
Feeling adventurous? See Bransby like never before and try out their new countryside walk, suitable for the whole family. Accessible to all, it was created with wheelchairs and all-terrain buggies in mind.
Visit the Café for tasty treats; from delicious cooked breakfasts to light lunches and scrumptious cakes. (All dietary requirements catered for, call ahead or speak to a member of the Café team on arrival.)
Seek out treasures in the Donated Goods Shop, where 100% of proceeds go towards the care of the horses, ponies, donkeys and mules.
