The Natural World Centre is the place to play, shop, eat and enjoy whatever the weather!
Situated within Whisby Nature Reserve, the Natural World Centre is just five miles from Lincoln City centre. There is a large car park with disabled parking and accessible footpaths into the centre and around the Reserve, ideal for all ages and abilities.

We have play areas packed full of exciting things to investigate.
Release your inner explorer at Little Darter’s Wildlife Adventure! With exciting tunnels, exploration towers and pits; you can watch wildlife in action from a great vantage point, dig for fossils or discover what lives underground in the cave! Older kids can try their hand at the mini assault course which features a ramp and rope ascent, balance rope traverse and climbing net.
Otter’s Reach Indoor Adventure is an educational resource for younger visitors with a height restriction of 1.3m. Explore and experience the park’s history through imaginative play including a gravel plant with hands on features, bulrush stilt posts, spider’s web climb, raptors’ nest and more!

Our fantastically stocked shop features local artists and crafters from across Lincolnshire. Including a wide range of home scents and bath bombs, quality unique gifts with upcycled lamps and sculptures, and to keep your furry friends happy there are also a great selection of toys and treats.

You will also find a great bistro overlooking Thorpe Lake offering simple homemade hot and cold meals, snacks and treats from locally sourced fresh produce. Our menu is filled with delicious quality homemade dishes with healthy options and yummy treats for all.

The Natural World Centre is the place to enjoy with all your family, we are dog friendly with an indoor seating area for you to enjoy a coffee and for your four legged friend a ‘puppycino’.
As the reserve pathways are accessible prams and buggies have no problem getting around the whole site plus we offer mobility scooters for hire for those less confident.
We can also help you to celebrate special occasions with children’s ‘Go Wild’ parties or for larger celebrations our Cygnet Suite could be the ideal location for you next big event.
