Lincoln City Foundation were pleased to welcome both new and returning players to their football development programme for the new season. The 2019/20 season, despite being cut short, was a hugely successful season seeing 30+ players moving on to the academy and emerging talent programme. Our football Development Centres are solely focused on player development and we pride ourselves on having something for all.
Our youngest players can attend our Mini Imps sessions which run across different areas on a weekly basis. The Mini Imps aim to deliver fun introduction to football sessions which develop player fundamentals whilst encouraging a love of football.
After Mini imps comes our development centres which are open for all! We have a pathway through the age groups and accept all abilities with a pathway link all the way through to academy football. The aim of the Development Centres are in the name, we aim to develop all. We provide a fun engaging learning environment for the players to attend alongside their grassroots team, giving them the opportunity to fine tune their skills, while putting them on the pathway to our Advanced and Elite Centres.
Starting this season, we have some exciting new programmes too, we have our goalkeeper specific sessions which are aimed at all goalkeepers who want that specific position training. This is a great opportunity for keepers to get that specialised coaching, which they may not get in a standard football session. We then had the honour of launching our very first Girl’s Development Centre. This is a first for our area and gives a much-needed injection of support for the female game. Our Girl’s Development Programme like our other centres aims to allow every player an opportunity to come and develop the difference being this is a female player only environment.
All our centres are on the website below and to book your places you simply need to click the relevant session and select book now. We are excited to progress our Football Programme this year, with the addition of our brand-new Football Development Officer Amy Kay, who is helping to grow our programme and provide an even better experience for both players and parents. We hope to see lots of new faces to come on that journey with us.
