This year we are again rolling out our program of events to Hartsholme Country Park, Boultham Park and the Arboretum with a traveling roadshow of activities and workshops for children throughout the half term in October.
Just some of this Autumn’s activities are detailed below:
Toddler Time (Friday 18th October and 15th November) A fun and exciting range of themed events for the under 5’s, which centre around popular children’s books.
Let the October half term week kick off with Pumpkin Carving workshops (Wednesday 23rd October am at The Arboretum, 23rd October pm at Hartsholme and Thursday 24th October am at Boultham) where the children can create their very own Jack o Lantern to ward off evil spirits that linger at this time of year.
Let’s Celebrate Bat week! If you think there are bats in your area, then why not “do your bit for conservation” and invite them to stay in your garden by making a Bat Box on Thursday 24th October pm at Hartsholme.
Take a chance and, be prepared to be scared out of your skin on our creepy Halloween Trail (Wednesday 23rd to Sunday 27th October), which will lead you if you make it to a delicious and ghoulish treat!
