Santa and his elves will be in residence from 9th December until Christmas Eve. The grotto opens from 11am-5pm (until 3pm Christmas Eve) and is located on the Waterside level near to New Look and Superdrug.
This year as part of the centres COVID-19 measures, you will need to book your visit to see Santa either online at https://www.bookfatherchristmas.co.uk/Waterside, or by using the QR code which will be displayed outside the grotto. This will eliminate queues and help maintain social distancing. Only one family will go into the grotto to see Santa at any one time. All adults will be required to wear a face covering and we will be asking you to sanitise your hands before visiting Santa. For your safety Santa and his elves will also be wearing face coverings.
An audience with Santa costs just £6, plus 50 pence booking fee. Every child receiving a present and parents having the opportunity to purchase additional personalised items.
There’s always lots of preparation to do in the run-up to Christmas, but thankfully the Waterside has several late-night shopping evenings. It’s open until 8pm on Thursday 10th and 17th December.
The Waterside Shopping Centre has been at the heart of Lincoln’s shopping scene since it was opened by Princess Diana in 1992.
The city centre’s only covered shopping mall, the Waterside is home to a fantastic range of retailers offering something for all the family.
Fashion retailers, H&M, Next, New Look, Topshop Topman, Roman Originals and Yours Clothing sit alongside Lincoln’s only approved Apple reseller Stormfront and telcomms giants O2 and Three. Kids make a bee-line to Smiggle and Claire’s, with everyone taking care of their health and wellbeing at The Body Shop, Grapetree and Superdrug. With Lincoln Watch Clinic, Savers and Warhammer on the outside of the centre, not to mention Goldsmith’s and Pandora for that special gift and the Lincoln City Football Club store, there really is something for everyone at the Waterside.
