Small classes= BIG Creativity! Following eight years of successful performing arts clubs in Newark, Starlight Theatre Academy has recently opened a new weekend class in North Hykeham. Don’t let your child get lost in the mix… join Starlight Theatre Academy; a theatre school with a difference.
Our classes are purposefully small- with no more than 25 per class location, at a range of ages-everyone learns, grows and laughs together. Smaller classes = more attention for each child. No one is left out, and we are able to make our classes bespoke to the needs of the group.
The weekly sessions work towards a bespoke performance at the end of term, previous productions have included Snow White, Wizard of Oz, A Christmas Carol and many more. Everyone who wants one is guaranteed a speaking part in our twice yearly shows, and our Starlets (4-7s) are offered the opportunity to take part too. Classes are child-led, creative and engaging, we work on building the skills and confidence to create brave performers and independent young people.
STA’s tutors are fun, friendly and experienced, with the sole aim of giving children the most rewarding and enjoyable theatre school adventure, building confidence in all members. Starlight Theatre Academy has a priority of providing a safe, exciting space for children to grow and learn, and tutors have trained in their disciplines as well as being experienced teachers. All our staff, even our 16yo assistants, have a DBS. Student safety is paramount at STA.
Principal Emily says “we keeps our classes small to ensure each child has a unique experience, and plenty of one on one time with us.” Classes are available for students aged 4-15. The youngest students, Starlets, go on wild adventures each week travelling in time, space and across the world! Older students explore musicals and dances as they create two shows a year and have a good giggle along the way.
Starlight Theatre Academy is a bespoke theatre school, catering for students who feel left out or overwhelmed by larger groups, run by dedicated, experienced teachers. All our staff, even our 16yo assistants, have a full DBS check. At Starlight, the children come first Every child is entitled to a free session when they join, and bursaries are also available.
