The Natural World Centre is set in Whisby Nature Park – a great day out all year round.
The centre is free entry (parking all day £1 in winter months, £2 in summer months) and is home to the Boardwalk Bistro and a lovely indoor play area.
Otter’s Reach Indoor Adventure is an educational resource for younger visitors aged 3 and upwards (to a maximum height of 1.3m) where they can make the most of their journey through Whisby
– from its origins as Whisby Pits to the attraction and wildlife haven it is today. The area allows younger visitors to explore and experience the park’s history through imaginative play and includes a gravel plant with hands on features, bullrush stilt posts, spiders web climb, raptors’ nest and more.
Little Darters Wildlife Adventure Area is packed full of exciting tunnels, bridges and sand pits and now includes a new mini assault course which allows older children to enjoy the area and features a ramp and rope ascent, balance rope traverse and climbing net.
There are several lovely walks through the Nature Park, managed by the Wildlife Trust. The Wildlife Trust and Natural World Centre offer children’s activities and workshops throughout the year.
