A Genie-Tastic Pantomime Adventure at the New Theatre Royal!

Lincoln’s longest running, traditional Christmas Pantomime at the New Theatre Royal is just a short magic carpet ride away!

Running from Tuesday 5th December – Sunday 7th January, the theatre will take audiences on a Genie-tastic adventure when they present Aladdin.

This year’s production stars Olympic gymnast, Strictly Come Dancing winner, and champion of ITV’s The Masked Dancer Louis Smith MBE, as the baddie Abanazar, in his first ever pantomime.

He will be joined by Strictly legend Ian Waite, as Sultan Cha-Cha-Cha, who became an audience favourite during last year’s Christmas pantomime, Cinderella, as The Fairy Godfather. Whilst Roger Wright will appear as Genie of the Lamp. Roger is no stranger to the stage after appearing in various West End productions including The Blues Brothers, Thriller Live, and most notably as Adult Simba in the original West End cast of Disney’s The Lion King.

There will also be a guest star on Saturday 9th December, when the role of Sultan Cha-Cha-Cha will be performed by the hugely popular, local radio presenter John Marshall, for three
performances only.

The show will feature vibrant sets, colourful costumes, huge dance routines, sensational vocals, perfect comedic timing, audience interaction, and tonnes of “wow” factor, making Aladdin the perfect family outing this festive season.

The theatre are also proud to present a signed and relaxed performance on Sunday 10th December, 1.30pm. During this performance a British Sign Language interpreter will be in a visible position to interpret the spoken and heard elements of the pantomime. Certain elements of the production will also be changed, e.g. there will be no loud bangs and auditorium lights will be brought up by 25%. This makes the show perfect for parents with babies and pre-school children and anyone with an Autism Spectrum Condition, sensory and communication disorder, or a learning disability.

Tickets start from £23.50 for under 18s and over 65s, and from £26.50 for adults. Family tickets (four tickets, maximum two adults) are also available from £92, helping families to save a little more this Christmas.

Tickets are selling fast, with some performances nearly sold out, so why not book your favourite seats today? It’s everything you could wish for in a panto!

Book online at ntrlincoln.co.uk or with the Box Office on 01522 519999.
