Mini Athletics brings energy, imagination and movement to families across Lincoln. Designed for children aged one to seven years, Mini Athletics combines the fundamentals of running, jumping and throwing with exciting themed adventures that keep little ones engaged from start to finish.
Each week, children are transported into a different world, whether that’s racing with superheroes, stomping with dinosaurs, travelling on magical trains or exploring alongside robots and unicorns. Through imaginative play, games and races, every session is carefully designed to help children develop essential movement skills while having as much fun as possible.
Mini Athletics focuses on far more than physical activity. Classes are built to support children’s hand-eye coordination, gross and fine motor skills, confidence and teamwork. By mixing technical athletic elements with exciting challenges and interactive storytelling, children are encouraged to learn through play in an environment that feels welcoming, inclusive and energetic.

At the heart of Mini Athletics Lincoln is franchise owner and “head Amazineer Coach” Gary, whose passion for sport and family inspired him to bring the programme to the city.
“I’m so excited to have the opportunity to bring Mini Athletics classes to Lincoln and provide fun, engaging and energetic classes,” he said.
As a father to “one very imaginative little boy and one very energetic little girl”, Gary was searching for an activity that would captivate both of his children. That search led him to Mini Athletics, where he immediately saw the impact the classes could have on young children.
“From the moment we visited our first class they were all in — and so was I,” he explained. “Watching the joy that running, jumping and throwing brought to not only my children but others at the same age was unbelievable to witness and I knew I wanted to bring this joy to my local community.”

A lifelong sports enthusiast and keen runner, Gary is passionate about helping children build a love of movement from an early age — something he believes should always begin with fun.
“I believe the best way to do this is to make sport incredibly fun,” he said. “I am here to make your mini athletes feel welcome and want to keep coming back.”
Since launching in March 2026, Mini Athletics Lincoln aimed to create a vibrant community where children can stay active, make friends and grow in confidence — one jump, throw and sprint at a time.
