Easter at Hartsholme and Boultham Parks
Easter 2024 is just around the corner, and we’ve got some exciting plans to celebrate the spring holiday season and keep the whole family entertained.
For Easter weekend (Friday 29th March to Sunday 31st March 12pm to 3pm), join us for our Easter Egg Hunt around the park to see what the Easter bunny has left behind! Before you set off, you’ll receive a trail sheet and pencil to help you with your adventure, don’t forget to come back with your sheet to eggschange it for their very own chocolatey treat!
How awesome are plants? There satisfying to grow, super delicious to eat, and great to make natural dyes out of, so why not give it a try at our Natural Dye workshop (Arboretum Wednesday 3rd April 10am to 11.30 am). supplies are provided but feel free to bring whatever you have at home if you would like to use it.
Let’s go fly a kite on Wednesday 3rd April at Hartsholme 1pm to 2.30pm and make your very own flying masterpiece.
Who lives in a house like this? Try your hand at a spot of Den building on Thursday 4th of April (10.00am to 11.30am at Boultham)
Have a go at wood whittling it’s fun and creative on (Thursday 4th April 1pm to 2.30pm). It’s a great way to introduce anyone to safe knife skills, and with the right know-how and supervision, there’s no need for it to be risky!
Get all arty in our Mosaic Making workshop (Wednesday 10th April 10am to 11.30am Boultham) where you can create your very own tile to take home.
Discover the joys of flight by making your very own Bottle Rocket (Hartsholme Wednesday 10th of April 1pm to 2.30pm). This activity has lots going on, a satisfying ‘whoosh’, a high-speed departure, and a good soaking if you are standing close!!
