IBCC – Teddy Bear’s Picnic
‘Teddy Bear’s Picnic’
Did you know that when children were evacuated during WW2, they were only allowed to take 1 toy with them? Or that many airmen had mascots, like a small toy, for luck during their missions? Do you have a favourite toy or mascot? If so, why not pop along and join us for our Teddy Bear’s Picnic, held outside on the green space in front of the Centre. Bring along your own picnic and toy/mascot and have a go at some of the outdoor games. There will be a prize for the best WW2 dressed toy/mascot and for best children’s evacuee costume. No need to book, just turn up on the day to join in the fun! (£3.00 parking charge still applicable).
