Spring into action this Easter half-term with a fantastic line-up of family-friendly activities. With something for everyone, from creative crafts to exciting outdoor adventures, there’s no better way to celebrate the season.
Families across Lincoln are invited to enjoy a wide-ranging programme of seasonal events and activities this Easter half-term, taking place in three of the city’s much- loved green spaces: Hartsholme Country Park, Boultham Park, and The Arboretum.
With a mix of creative workshops, outdoor learning, and traditional Easter fun, the week offers something for children of all ages to enjoy while making the most of the springtime surroundings.

Kicking off the programme is a traditional Easter Egg Hunt at Hartsholme Country Park, running from Friday 3 April to Sunday 5 April between 12:00 noon and 3:00pm each day.
Families can enjoy following a trail of clues left by the Easter Bunny, leading to a delicious Easter treat at the end of their adventure. No booking is required for this event, but a £4.50 fee per child applies.
Does your child enjoy getting their hands dirty? On Wednesday 8 April, children can learn how to make slime with a few simple ingredients. Fluffy, scrunchy or disgusting, let your child create their very own custom slime at Boultham Park, from 10:00am to 11:30am.

For those looking to explore traditional skills, a willow weaving workshop will take place on Wednesday 8 April from 1:00pm to 2:30pm at Hartsholme Country Park. Guided by experienced park rangers, children will learn how to weave and have the chance to create a simple willow heart, fish or small basket to take home.
Trap the bad dreams and let the good ones through in a Dreamcatcher workshop at Lincoln Arboretum on Wednesday from 10am to 11.30pm.
This activity encourages both creativity and active play, as participants design their own piece of ancient Japanese artwork and do their bit for conservation by making seed bombs to catapult into the garden. Seed bombs and Hapa Zome takes place at Hartsholme Country Park on Wednesday 15 April 1:00pm to 2:30pm.

On Thursday 16 April, the creativity continues in the morning with a Lantern workshop at Boultham Park. From 10am to 11:30am, children can let their
imaginations shine as they use willow and tissue paper to design lanterns that twinkle with their own unique patterns.
Later that same day, from 1:30pm to 2:30pm, Hartsholme Country Park will host a bottle rocket workshop, where participants can build and launch their own water- powered rockets in a fun and educational session exploring the science of flight.
All activity sessions are priced at £4.50 per child, and advance booking is essential.
