Families can be assured of a warm welcome to Lincoln Cathedral. You will want to return again and again to visit the ever-popular Discovery Centre, with lots of hands-on activities for all members of the family to enjoy. Then there’s the wide range of free arts & crafts held during school holidays and event weekends in the beautiful bright Learning Centre.
In the Cathedral you can pick up a family backpack on a range of themes which will help you and your child to discover more about the Cathedral and its rich history, characters, stories and hidden symbols. You can find the Activity Trolley in the North Transept full of dress-up clothes toys and books. Ask at the welcome desk for a Family Explorer Trail to guide you through from the Cathedral to the visitor centre.
The beautiful café with outdoor patio areas has a full children’s menu and a range of themed lunch boxes as well as a huge range of tempting cakes. The shop is well stocked with pocket-money priced gifts, toys and children’s books.
All activities are free with Cathedral admission and children visit FREE with a paying adult. If you add Gift Aid to your admission you can return to the Cathedral for free for 12 months!
