Lincs in Lockdown and beyond: birthdays carry on as usual with Party Planet Lincoln!
Welcome to Lincs in Lockdown and beyond – our blog focusing on local businesses – how they are operating at present and their plans for the future. Today we hear from Party Planet Lincoln…
We just wanted to start by saying just how thankful we are to be busy even during lockdown. Your continued support means everything
For those of you that didn’t realise we were still operating during lockdown, we are indeed. We know that birthdays don’t just stop happening when the governments announces a national lockdown!
Our services are just a little limited compared to normal. Usually we’re open 7 days a week for collections and deliveries and we have a team of 8 staff, 4 of which are family members and 4 who aren’t.
Us 4 family members are behind the scenes at the moment and the perks of running a family business have really become apparent. Living under the same roof means we’re able to carry out work like normal without worrying.
We’re currently operating a delivery service on select days, at least 3 days each week. There is nobody at the end of the telephone, which is usually the way we’d recommend contacting us. However we are checking emails & social media daily if you wanted to get in touch.
In terms of what we’re selling, everything! Your choice of stock isn’t limited in any way during lockdown, banners, cake toppers, sparklers, gender reveals and fancy dress items for those themed zoom calls or bringing at home learning to life – all still available.
Although our number balloon bases are without a doubt the most popular product at the moment. Closely followed by piñatas, providing families with some fun lockdown entertainment!
Customers are welcome to shop the website like normal, the only thing that’s different during lockdown is our website is P&P only, click & collect has been temporarily turned off with us not being there every single day.
Although we’re missing being open and having that face to face customer interaction, it’s nice to still be able to do our thing safely.
It’s been lovely to see a rise in surprise balloon deliveries, both from family members hundreds of miles away, and from friends just up the road that want to spread some joy. We take great pleasure in delivering that joy and making lockdown birthdays feel that bit more special.
Hope to physically see you all again soon, but if you’ve got an at home occasion coming up in the meantime you know where to find us. Stay safe x
