Stokes Tea & Coffee is a family-run business that has been serving the good people of Lincoln since 1902. We are proud to be a beloved institution in the city, renowned for our high-quality teas and coffees, as well as our friendly and welcoming service.
We operate three cafes in Lincoln, each with its own unique character and charm.
Our wonderful High Bridge Café has remained a popular spot for both locals and visitors alike drawn to quaint and quirky black and white timber buildings (recently reroofed and painted), perfect for enjoying a cuppa and soaking up the atmosphere of our historic city.
The Lawn Café occupies a corner in the beautiful Victorian building that was once apioneering psychiatric hospital of repute. The Lawn Café has a bright and open outdoor space, perfect for people-watching on a crisp winter’s day, along with your four-legged friend. Or else indoors, along with your four-legged friend on a drizzly morn!
Every Friday and Saturday night, The Lawn transforms its vibe to relaxing and chilling, with cocktails, small plates, and a sound musical playlist! The ideal place to start the weekend and unwind with friends.
The picturesque Welton Village Café is nestled between the paper shop and the Black Bull on Lincoln Road and has quickly gained popularity for its cooked breakfasts and dog friendly welcome.
We’ve also opened our stall in the newly refurbished Cornhill Market (https://stokescoffee.com/pages/cafe-lincoln-market), plus a brand new café in Newark is also now open!
The Stokes Afternoon Teas are available to book at all our cafes. Our afternoon teas include a delicate selection of sandwiches, cakes, and the famous Stokes scones, as well as a tea or coffee or prosecco. They are made for that special occasion!
Roastery and Barista Academy:
All our coffee is roasted on site at our roastery in The Lawn, Union Road. We also have a Barista Academy housed in the same building. The Barista Academy provides a variety of courses for all levels of experience, from beginner to advanced, for both our trade customers and the public. The courses teach you everything you need to know about coffee and tea, from brewing to latte art. The courses can be easily booked online for anyone to attend.
Stokes Tea & Coffee
We produce a wide variety of coffees and teas to choose from, including single-origin coffees, speciality coffees, and a variety of loose-leaf teas. All our coffees and teas can be bought in our cafes or online. We also offer a subscription service, so you can have your favourite coffees and teas delivered to your door on a regular basis.
Christmas Gifts
We have a range of Christmas gifts on shelf now, including tea and coffee selection boxes, China mugs, and specially formulated festive coffee blends. We also offer experience packages, such as barista courses, coffee tastings, and tea tastings. We have also launched a luxury ’12 Brews of Christmas’ hamper.
