Lincoln’s historic Drill Hall has re-opened its doors after a difficult few years, with a newly-refurbished café bar and a packed programme of events for children and families.
Theatre Manager Craig Morrow explained how venue is keen to re-engage with families across the city. “We’re really proud of the role The Drill has played in people’s lives, and constantly meet audience members who first visited us as a child and now have little ones of their own. The legacy of excellent creative opportunities for young children has been something that I’ve been keen to
preserve as we relaunch the venue, and so this autumn marks the first steps in that direction.
As well as the return of our traditional family panto with Rapunzel, we’ve also got family events throughout the year. I’mabsolutely delighted that we’ve got Tall Stories’ adaptation of the Julia Donaldson classic ROOM ON THE BROOM coming to us in October, as well as the return of Diddy Disco and our creative sessions for pre-school kids – Lil’ Drills, which now takes place every Tuesday morning. With plenty more events lined up into the new year, The Drill is once again a home for families, children
and the young at heart.”
